For
MAC Users
As you know,
a MAC’s operating system is different
from a PC’s. Keep in mind, however, that
everything a PC is capable of doing, a MAC is
able to do as well. The only difference is in
finding how to do the same thing, either with
different software, by employing different steps
or using the most current updates.
If you are having
trouble viewing the OBF Media Broadcast (Audio
or Video), please take the following precautions:
Make sure that
you have the most current version for your media
viewer, be it Windows Media Player for MAC or
QuickTime. Those who use a MAC to view the broadcast,
have found that only the latest version of Windows
Media Player (Version 9.0) has worked for them.
Make sure that
your system has adequate memory available along
with your Internet connection to run the video
stream. You may need to clean up your desktop,
which will free up additional system memory.
Be certain
that you are running OSX on your system. It
may work just as well with OS 9; however, we
have not certified that operating system for
our broadcast.
Here are a few additional steps that may be
performed to get the OBF Media Broadcast to
play on your MAC:
Make sure that
you have the most current version of Windows
Media Player for MAC (Version 9.0).

You may also
try Flip4Mac. Flip4Mac runs Windows Media Player
within Quicktime. Click here
to check it out,

Delete any
prior versions of Windows Media Player. As you
may already know, MACs will keep old versions
of software after new versions have been installed.
Your browser may not know to recognize the latest
version if the old one is still installed.
Before trying
to access the OBF Media Broadcast, open Windows
Media Player and let it run in the background.
Then open the CYW Broadcast. Your system should
then recognize the latest version of Window
Media Player and allow the stream to begin.
If you are having
challenges viewing a Flash presentation on our
Web sites, the steps are basically the same.
The reason that the file may not be showing
up may be that the animation was made with the
latest version of Flash.
Locate and delete
the folder that has the old version of Flash.
Then go to Macromedia.com now owned by Adobe
and download the latest version.
Install the
new version of Flash and be certain to select
the browser that you use to surf the Web. Please
note: if you have multiple versions of Internet
Explorer on your computer, it may appear that
you have installed the latest version to your
browser—although this may not be the case.
We suggest that you delete previous versions
of your browser as well.
From this point forward, you should be able
to view any Flash files and Video as well as
Audio files that we add to our Web site. We
hope you find this information helpful. Thank
you for visiting us. God bless you!
